Security Officer at the Cyber Defense Unit

The Cyber Defense Unit (1.CFF) is part of the Armed Forces' capability for armed combat in the cyber domain. We defend the Armed Forces' command support systems through both proactive outreach activities and reactive management of IT security incidents. Our dimensioned adversaries have substantial resources and high competence, which places high demands on us to protect the systems. Since the unit's operations involve handling real missions, you will be an important player in defending Sweden and strengthening our collective capability in the cyber domain.

We are currently looking for a Security Officer

We are currently looking for a security officer for our intelligence and security section in the staff, with experience in security service and an interest in information technology, as well as a desire to serve at the forefront of the Armed Forces' technical capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

As a security officer at the unit, you will be involved in developing and shaping the unit's security service. Since the unit as a whole is under development, this will mean that you, in your role as a security officer, will play an important role in contributing wise thoughts and new perspectives to the operations.

• Conduct security protection work within the unit
• Develop the security protection analysis for the unit
• Support with specific security protection analyses for the unit's operations
• Plan and follow up the unit's missions together with operations leaders

Competence Requirements

• Officer (OF/SO)
• Professional experience in security service.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• Driving license B

Meritorious

• Professional experience in intelligence service in the Armed Forces.
• Intelligence training equivalent to Grunder Und (FMUndSäkC)
• Education and/or experience in IT security, data communication, information or management systems.
• Experience in personnel and operational responsibility
• A good understanding of data systems and networks.
• Experience in staff work at tactical or operational level.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who thrives in a driving role where you will work with the unit's security service. As a person, you should be responsible and take ownership of your own tasks as you will shape your own work. Furthermore, we see that you are used to taking your own initiatives. In connection with this, you have good qualities to both structure and organize your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Other Requirements

For employment with the Armed Forces, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment entails national and international work obligations.

A security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment. The selection process will be supplemented with psychological tests.

Employment type: Permanent employment, a 6-month probationary period applies for those who are currently not employed within the Armed Forces.
